When Grace Prevails

It is a vicious cycle, isn’t it? You lose your temper. You drop the notorious F-bomb. You run the red light. You commit some egregious sin. Whatever the case may be, you have failed and now, you feel absolutely horrible. We just can’t shake the shame. We can’t seem to forgive ourselves. It is here that Grace prevails.

For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God;  it is not from works, so that no one can boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 NET

God’s grace has saved us through faith. Here’s the thing that caught me – it is not from works so that no one can boast. Neither you nor I can take credit for it! The simple truth is that we need to forgive ourselves and move on. There are people in this world that cannot forgive themselves. They live a life that is miserable. What has it accomplished? Nothing.

Today, I want to challenge you today to forgive yourself and move on because God has already done it and there is nothing that you can do to change that.
